The event that is hosted every three months is guaranteed to give you a round of exciting, scintillating, innovative and entertaining activities such as: live music, comedy, poetry, dances around the bonfire, traditional cuisines and laid back games. The event further seeks to promote culture, tradition and local tourism in Kenya. For realization of the event's theme……..Music in the wild!! Thum e Thim is held at a unique geographical/historical site that provides fauna & sauna, fresh air and untamed beauty to give you an opportunity to relax, mingle and network while sightseeing, and interacting with the wild animals in their natural habitat.

Music, Dance & Folktales
Do you love to dance? The slow kind? The sexy kind or the African Tango? Do you like to play-the hard tackle or the soft one? Do you like to sing or to listen? ...There's no likelihood that you will be bored because at Thum e Thim, there's only bloom and woods. Woods that we use to light up the bonfire and the trees that provide you with the shadows. Shadows that keep you from the sun as you enjoy your time. There will be series of activities lined up during the day as we build up to the night. At night, Thum e Thim provides a bonfire; lit in the middle of the wild, providing illumination, setting a perfect romantic ambience. …
Bonfire
You can't be in the wilderness without a bonfire, Right! Thum e Thim just have what you need- a bonfire right at the heart of the wilderness, providing you with the ideal warmth and heat in the coldness of the night, keeping you warm as you sip your favorite wine, or porridge, or milk! Think of all opportunities the night and the wild presents!! What else do you need when you can watch the sky illuminated by thousand stars and blue moon; rhythmic music; bits of wine; and the soft blow of heat from the bonfire? Total relaxation, and nerve-cooling adventure it is...
Food & Drinks
Thum e Thim allows you to sample lots of traditional delicacies. There will be nyuk kal (porridge made from sorghum) served in agwata (calabash); Kuon bel (ugali made from millet) served with Obambo (dried fish); Roasted maize, roasted potatoes and cassava, fried groundnuts. Lots of grilled fish and mouth-watering nyama choma! Foods will be accompanied by traditional brews like Busaa served in Abila and drunk using Oseke or milk served direct from the guards.
Games
Remember Ajua? It's Thum e Thim's biggest attraction. Play Ajua while you sit on the three legged stool with roasted maize in one hand and/or uji in the other and you will cherish the African traditions...!There will be other laid back games like Ring toss, Poker, Dice, Darts, Pool table, face painting and bouncy castles for kids.
